Ammar Filmfest to honor ‘Gando’

Ammar Popular Film Festival is slated to honor Iranian popular series ‘Gando’.

The spy thriller, directed by Javad Afshar, is to be honored at the 10th edition of the Iranian festival.

Produced by Mojtaba Amini, the 30-episode docudrama was aired in July on IRIB.

The series is based on political events which is Javad Afshar’s 15th TV series.

A number of popular ifilm stars are among the cast of Afshar’s series, including Daryoush Farhang, Leila Otadi, Sara Khoueeniha, Aliram Nouraei, Pendar Akbari, Kambiz Dirbaz, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Kamand Amir-Soleymani, Farhad Qaemian.

The cast list also enjoys various foreign actors.

Series like ‘Dirty Money’, ‘Brother’, ‘The Edge of Fire’, ‘Jaber ibn Hayyan’, ‘Kimia’, and ‘Like a Mother’ are some popular names to ifilm viewers, all of which have been directed by Javad Afshar.
